According to the publication, Sony Interactive Entertainmentfiled a patent application with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). The document states that PS VR2 will have two cameras on the front, as well as one on the back. In addition, the headset will be studded with LEDs, which will also help better track the player’s movements. Like the current PSVR, the new variant will also come with a built-in microphone.
In addition, the patent talks about a new pairing method. Gamers will be able to connect the headset not only using wires, but also via Bluetooth. For this purpose, the helmet will be equipped with an additional power source.
Sony is also planning to update the PlayStation Move controllers. The patent states that the manipulators will also have built-in cameras for better motion tracking.
