So, the new 48-megapixel sensor is called the Sony IMX803 and is equipped with 1.22 micron pixels, combined in binning to 2.44 microns. In comparison, the 12MP IMX703 sensor from the iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro Max has a pixel size of 1.9µm.

The upgrade also received the width, the size of the pixels inwhich also increased from 1 to 1.4 microns due to the transition to the new IMX663 sensor (instead of IMX772 in the iPhone 13 Pro). But the telephoto and ToF module did not change, again using the 12-megapixel IMX713 and IMX590, respectively. An important upgrade was the front camera, which is now based on the 12-megapixel IMX714, which replaced the IMX514. Its configuration, alas, has not yet been disclosed.
