Sony will stop selling digital versions of PS4 games outside of PSN

Sony has confirmed that it will no longer sell download codes for PlayStation 4 games outside of the PlayStation Network.


Along with the disc versions of the games, the companyI sent vouchers to stores with a key for downloading from PSN. Apparently, the service did not gain the expected popularity, and Sony decided to stop selling keys. Now gamers will be able to buy digital versions of games only on the PlayStation Store.

In a comment to Eurogamer, the company confirmed thatwhich will end the sale and support of vouchers from April 1, 2019. At the same time, the changes will not affect DLC, add-ons, season passes and codes with virtual currency. In addition, Sony plans to increase the value of recharge cards for PSN.
