Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition received an unexpected upgrade

Yesterday, Sony presented in Japan the gaming version of its flagship smartphone - Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition. Initially

it was assumed that this was just a bundle from Xperia 1IV and a case with a fan and Xperia Stream connectors, but it turned out that not everything is so simple. The Gaming Edition also differs in the amount of RAM: if the standard version of the Sony flagship has 12 GB, then here it is 16 GB. The ROM capacity remains the same (512 GB), and it can still be expanded using a microSD memory card (drives up to 1 TB are supported). Do you think additional RAM will help a Japanese smartphone in gaming tasks?
