Sony Xperia 1 IV shows dismal pre-sales

For several years we have been talking about the sales dynamics of Sony Xperia, which has more and more

depressing trend (2018, 2019, 2020).And although last year the company managed to turn a profit for the first time in many years, new information from Chinese retail does not inspire optimism. Sources report sluggish pre-order volumes for the new flagship model Xperia 1 IV, which amounted to about a third of what they were a year ago for the Xperia 1 III. This is indirectly confirmed by the JD.com pre-order counter, where just over 32,000 customers made reservations for the Xperia 1 IV. By contrast, a year ago Xiaomi Mi 11 collected more than 400,000 reservations on JD, even before the official launch.

As a key probable reason for suchlow interest in the device is called the price tag - the smartphone is too expensive. In addition, fans may be held back by a minor upgrade in terms of filling relative to its predecessors. In any case, it is unlikely that in other countries the situation with sales of the Sony Xperia 1 IV will be different.
