Sony has quietly announced a new mid-budget smartphone, the Xperia 8.

The Sony Xperia 8 is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM. The built-in storage can be expanded with a memory card up to 512 GB.
The device was equipped with a dual camera of 13 MP + 8 MP.The first module is the main one, the second is a telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The front camera in the new product is 8-megapixel. The fingerprint scanner in the Xperia 8 is not in-display. It was installed on the side of the smartphone.

The device is powered by a 2760 mAh battery withUSB-C port and fast charging. The new product also has an NFC module and support for High-Resolution Audio with LDAC technology. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
Price and when to wait
Sales of the smartphone in Japan will start this month. You will have to pay $467 for the device. Whether it will appear on the global market is still unknown.
