Soon again to the moon: NASA announced the dates of the flight of a huge rocket to the satellite

Demonstration flight of the SLS rocket (in the future it is planned to send astronauts to the Moon) without a crew

could take place as early as next month, although NASA has also announced a number of follow-up launches for the end of the year.

"We have targets for Aug. 29, Sept. 2, Sept. 5," said Jim Free, assistant administrator of the Office of Exploration Systems Development at NASA Headquarters.

Free further clarified that these dates are not mandatory.until they pass flight readiness checks (usually a little more than a week before launch). But these are the dates the team is working on. If things don't go according to plan, the agency has set multiple launch windows for the end of the year.

These launch windows should be timed to the Moon's position in its lunar cycle to maximize the chances of a successful orbit.
