According to a source from 9to5Google, Google is going to introduce the updated Chromecast Ultra.

The new product will receive a slightly modified design with morerounded shape, the already familiar G logo on the body and an HDMI cable. The device will run on the Android TV operating system. If this information is confirmed, the device will compete with Android set-top boxes.

The updated Chromecast Ultra is also credited withsupport for 4K, HDR, connection via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, as well as a remote control with a microphone and a button to launch the Google Assistant voice assistant. By the way, the remote control has already been certified by the American regulator FCC.
When to expect
There is no announcement date for the new Chromecast Ultra yet, but we can assume that it will be presented along with the Google Pixel 4a smartphone at the Google I/O 2020 conference in May.
