Source: Huawei began mass production of a 5-nanometer Kirin 1000 chip for Mate 40 smartphones

Huawei only released its new flagship processor Kirin 990 at the beginning of September, and now

information that the manufacturer is already preparing the next new product.

What is known

As reported by Huawei Central, citingindustrial source, the Chinese company has already started production of the Kirin 1000 chip. It will be built using a 5-nanometer process technology. The chipset will also receive A77 architecture and, of course, a built-in modem for the fifth generation network (5G). There are no other details about the new SoC yet.

When to expect

Kirin 1000 is planned to be released in the second half of 2020. The first to receive it, with a high degree of probability, will be the flagship line of Mate 40 smartphones.
