It looks like a new part of the Assassin’s Creed series is already in development, and gamers will be able to play it no earlier than 2020.

YouTube blogger JorRaptor drew attentionto posters from The Division 2 hanging in a virtual replica of the Potomac Event Center. In the image, an unknown man in a white cape and red cloak walks in an unknown direction, and holds the Apple of Eden in his hands. The poster also features the words “Valhalla,” which references Scandinavian mythology. The blogger decided that this was a hint of a new Assassin’s Creed and turned out to be right.

The guy's guess was confirmed by Kotaku journalist JasonSchreier, who was told about the project by two independent sources familiar with the game. According to Schreier, Ubisoft calls the game Assassin’s Creed: Kingdom, it will feature Vikings, and a new part of the series will be released in 2020. Note that the ninth generation consoles are expected to be released at the same time and the new part of the series may appear on PlayStation 5 or Projekt Scarlet (new Xbox).

The setting of the new AC is also hinted at by the work of Ubisoft Milan artist Michel Noucer, who in 2018 published an image entitled “Viking Hell”.

The studio did not comment on the speculation, butThis is not the first time that the French have hinted about new projects in their own games. For example, Pioneer, which had already been canceled and revived, first appeared in Watch Dogs 2. Moreover, in the latest patch for Watch Dogs, a hint of Watch Dogs 3 appeared.
