Source: Sony will release Xperia 5 II with 5G support and a display less than 6 inches

Sony introduced the flagship Xperia 1 II in February, and now information has emerged that the manufacturer is working

above its smaller version.

What is known

The information was shared by the Japanese publication AndroidNext, citing your source. The new product will be called Xperia 5 II (read as Xperia 5 Mark 2) and it will become the successor to last year's Xperia 5 model. The device is credited with a display of about 5.6-5.8 inches and support for the fifth generation network. If this information is confirmed, the new product will become the most compact 5G smartphone on the market.

Presumably, the Xperia 5 II will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip or a mid-range SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G.

When to expect

According to the source, the device will debut in the second half of this year.
