In his research published in MacRumors, 9to5Mac and Apple Insider, TF International Securities Group Limited analyst Ming-chi Kuo,

names planned major redesignMacBook Pro in Q3 2021 marks the first major change to the laptop's appearance since the current generation launched in 2016. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has a report that backs up Kuo's claim.

Apparently, the new MacBook Pro has a bootrounded sides, like the iPad Pro and iPhone 1. Also, it looks like the top and bottom bezels will be flatter. The laptops will reportedly use a heatpipe system similar to the current 16-inch MacBook Pro, which will provide more thermal headroom and provide better performance. Bloomberg reports that the new models will have "brighter and more contrasty" displays.

TF International Securities analyst notes, that the new Pro laptops will reverse some of the controversial changes Apple made to the current generation. For example, the OLED touchpad will be completely replaced by physical function keys - the company will abandon the Touch Bar. Kuo also says there will be a wider range of ports.
