The base will launch a full-fledged light aircraft carrier - the first in the history of the country.

It is reported that the new ship will be able to carry on itson board several dozen fifth-generation fighters of the Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II, writes Naked Science. It is also planned to place eight helicopters on the ship - a displacement of about 30 thousand tons allows you to crank out such a thing.

At the moment, the program is designed forthe next couple of years. It should be noted that South Korea has already built two aircraft carriers of the Dokdo class. We are talking about ROKS Dokdo (currently in service) and ROKS Marado (being tested).
