SpaceX Ilona Mask put into orbit a GPS satellite

Elon Musk's company again launched the Falcon 9 rocket, which this time delivered it into orbit

Earth's new navigation satellite GPS III-03 Columbus.

What is known

The rocket launch took place at 16:10 local time (at 23:10 Kyiv time) at the cosmodrome in Florida. The customer for the flight was the US Air Force. The first stage of Falcon 9, nine minutes after launch, successfully landed on the Just Read The Instructions floating platform in the Atlantic Ocean. It was located 634 km from the launch site.

By the way, GPS III-03 Columbus is already the thirda satellite of this type in Earth orbit. A total of 32 are planned to be launched. They will gradually replace those that currently provide GPS signals throughout the planet. The third generation of satellites differs from previous versions in increased accuracy of location determination (up to 1 meter), as well as maneuverability and noise immunity.

Let us remind you that earlier SpaceX, using a Falcon 9 rocket, sent the Crew Dragon spacecraft with two astronauts to the ISS.
