SpaceX brings four astronauts back to Earth

SpaceX's first crewed operational mission has come to an end.NASA reported that the Crew-1 mission has returned to Earth,

its flight from the ISS to our planet took six and a half hours.The crew included NASA representatives Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walkerand Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi.They spent six months in orbit.

Initially, it was assumed that Crew-1 would land on April 30, but due to bad weather at potential landing sites, the return was postponed twice. ThisThe flight was the second manned mission of a SpaceX spacecraft and the first regular mission into orbit.

Engadget notes that this is an important moment for SpaceX, which just a few days earlier launched its Crew-2 mission. NASA also noted that this is the first night descent of a spacecraft with an American crew since Apollo 8, which took place on December 27, 1968. 

NASA reports that the astronauts are doing well. During the broadcast, the crew thanked everyone involved in the operation. There are currently seven crew members working on the ISS, three of whom are from Russia.
