SpaceX continues to prepare Starship for its first test flight, which, apparently, will not take place

this year. Nevertheless, everyone is confident that preparations for the moon landing are going according to plan.

What is known

Bill Nelson, head of the NationalThe Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said it is constantly in touch with SpaceX. Jim Free, a spokesman for the space agency, claims that the Starship fully meets all benchmarks. Preparations are going according to schedules, and sometimes even ahead of them.

Elon Musk's company intends to make the firstlanding of Starship on the moon at the end of next year. The spacecraft will go there without a crew. However, at the end of 2024, SpaceX will send astronauts to the moon for the first time since 1972. At the moment, Starship is the only vehicle chosen by NASA to land people on the moon as part of the Artemis program. But Orion will deliver astronauts to the Gateway orbital station.
