After yesterday's Apple presentation, many were dissatisfied, including the music streaming service
What's the matter
Spotify is protesting this timethe unified Apple One subscription announced yesterday. Let us remind you that this is a subscription that combines all the company’s services: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+.
“Once again, Apple is using itsdominant position and unfair practices to disadvantage competitors and consumers by favoring their own services. We call on antitrust authorities to take urgent action to curb Apple's anti-competitive behavior, which, if left unchecked, will cause irreparable harm to the developer community and jeopardize our collective freedoms,” Spotify said in a statement.
Apple did not keep itself waiting long and rolled out the answer:
"Users can discoveralternatives to any Apple service and use them. We're introducing Apple One as an easy way to access our full range of services in one cost-effective subscription. The package is ideal for those who love and use our services and want to get more for less money. Also, some services included with Apple One are available for use on third-party devices, and you can cancel them at any time."
By the way, this is not the first time Spotify has spoken out against Apple: first of all, the company is accused of aggressively promoting Apple Music in the App Store.
