Spotify nearly overtakes Apple Podcasts as the # 1 podcast app in the US

eMarketer company, streaming music service#1 will surpass Apple Podcasts to become the #1 podcasting service. In the US, Spotify will end the year with 28.2 million monthly podcast listeners, according to the report, while Apple Podcasts – with 28 million.

The report also says that Spotify's growth will becontinue until 2025. By the end of 2025, the number of listeners to the streaming service is projected to grow from 28.2 million to 43.6 million. This is equivalent to 12.7% of the country's population.

Recently, Apple has been makingsteps to compete with Spotify for podcasting. The company has launched a new product Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, redesigned the app, and is launching original podcasts based on content from Apple TV +.
