Starfield has changed the release date on Steam from 2023 to "coming soon"

As far as we know now, Starfield is scheduled to be released sometime in the first half of 2022.In the Autumn of the Past

Microsoft said that the game would be released shortly after Redfall, which in turn, according to the leaks, should have been released on May 2, that is, Starfield was supposed to be released sometime between May 3 and June 30, but the game was once again postponed, including a change in the release date on Steam, which worried some players.

What is known

Now, on the game's official Steam page, there is an indefinite "coming soon" instead of "2023".Overall, it doesn't sound like an improvement, but as PCGamesN pointed out, it canNot bad.

Steam offers developers a variety of options to set the release date: fromspecific fixed dates, when the developer knows exactly when he wantsrelease the game, before more general windows such as "January 2023", "Q3 2023" or even a whole year. However, the base Steam directory with default release dates will bethe last possible day in these windows, so "January 2023" will actually beJanuary 31, 2023, and only "2023" will be December 31, 2023.The change from "2023" to "coming soon" could mean that we'll see Starfield before the end of this year (but that's not for sure).

Perhaps more information will be given to us at the joint show of Xbox and Bethesda games, which is scheduled to take place on January 25th.
