Startups Green Growth and Hemoscan become finalists of Startup Tour 2022

The main topic of discussion was the issue of innovative support for the region. Experts and event participants

discussed what is needed for developmentpromising technology startups, as well as what opportunities there are for entrepreneurs in difficult times. In addition, the speakers discussed which platforms and services may be useful for developing and scaling a business.

However, the highlight of the day was the competition.startups. A total of 97 applications were submitted, of which the experts selected only 15. These are the strongest projects in the areas of "Information Technology", "Industrial and Energy Technologies" and "Biotechnologies in Medicine and Agriculture". The winner of the grand final was the NeuroWood project. This IT system helps to measure the required volume and fix the dimensions of the wood using segmentation and a neural network.

Finalists of the direction "Biotechnologies in medicineand agriculture" were the Green Growth, Hemoscan and NeuroRobot projects. At the same time, the start-ups of the Innopolis SEZ received the first and second places. Green Growth is a yield monitoring system, and Hemoscan is engaged in laboratory diagnostics for veterinary medicine.

This is the third Startup Tour in which my team and Itook part. The event was held at the highest level: traditionally interesting, eventful, with interesting people, new acquaintances. We were pleased with our results, but thanks to the very strong participants we saw that there was room for improvement. We plan to further develop the product, strengthen the acquaintances we have established, and hope to participate in Startup Village this year with the developments that we have already acquired.

Anton Stepanov, founder of the Gemoscan startup

According to Oleg Protopopov, Directordepartment of attraction of the SEZ "Innopolis", in the special economic zone there is everything necessary for the development of start-ups. The ecosystem of Innopolis consists of a simplified system for applying for startup status, personnel support from the Recruitment Center Innopolis, the University, grants from partners, venture funds, co-working spaces, events and networking.
