The DVR is made in the format of a mirrorrear view and is actually an overlay on the existing car mirror. Before that, I had no experience using such form factors, and only classical devices were in operation. At first, there were a lot of questions to how convenient, practical and, most importantly, effective. During the review, I will note the pros and cons of a registrar of a similar format.
First of all, thisrearview mirror— body of interaction between the driver andsurrounding space. The view turned out to be no worse than the stock mirror, the coverage of the visible area became a little larger, and that’s a plus! There is a slight tint to combat glare from light from vehicles behind.
A large 5-inch IPS is located in the center of the smart mirrordisplay. Informative, bright enough (although in sunny weather it’s not so informative, but the surface is mirror-like). It displays a picture from the front and rear cameras.

Equipment
All Navitel products come with everything necessary for comfortable operation of the device, and the MR250NV — not an exception. The package includes:

Installation
Correctly install the Navitel DVRMR250 NV — the key to effective operation of the device. That is why all those who have just purchased the device should pay attention to this point! Using rubber bands, position the device evenly on the rearview mirror. Adjust the view in the mirror, turn on the recorder and adjust the main camera. It rotates within 10 degrees vertically and horizontally.
Next, proceed to install the rear view camera. Lay the cable under the skin. Then we install the camera, here you can go in two ways. Either install it on the rear window in the cabin (mounted on tape), or on the trunk lid above the license plate (self-tapping screws). Last accommodation option in priority. Rear View Camera
It is IP and dust proof.65, which means it is able to work outside the car. The mounting design is swivel, which allows you to adjust the desired camera position. In addition to the standard recording function, the rear view camera can also be used as a parking assistant.
If you feed the positive cable coming from the camera(red) on the reversing light, when the reverse speed is turned on, the recorder will automatically turn on the picture from the rear camera, supplementing it with special parking markings. It allows you to determine the distance to the object.
Control
It is tied to 5 physical buttons andintuitively clear. Here you can control the recording mode, configure the operating mode of the recorder through the menu items, as well as view videos and take photos. Use the UP button (second from left) to switch between cameras.
To activate video viewing mode, holdmenu button 3 seconds.
How does the video write?
As a recorder smart mirror Navitel MR250 NVI personally was more than satisfied. In the daytime, the picture is clear. In the settings, in my opinion, the ability to adjust the exposure is very lacking. This would remove excess brightness on a sunny day. The main camera has a viewing angle of 160 degrees, a view from the rack to the rack. More and no longer need, as practice has shown, devices with a larger viewing angle suffer from distortion at the edges of the frame, which is not good.
This model has an attachmentNight vision, which means it is capable of producing a good picture inlow light conditions. Cons of the recorder mirror
They exist, where would we be without them?And the first — it's versatility. All cars are different, and before purchasing, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the dimensions of the device (310x86x39 mm). Yes, it will suit most civilian cars, but preliminary measurements will not be superfluous. The second disadvantage is that after using a regular mirror, you will need to get used to the smart mirror, but it won’t take long (3-4 short trips were enough for me), but you shouldn’t keep silent about it. As a result, you will appreciate the convenience and visibility!

Navitel MR250 NV DVR is definitelystands out among competitors. The company pays great attention to the quality of its products. There are zero claims to the assembly and materials, the quality of shooting is also on the level.
Many people have questions about the appropriatenessinstallation of a rear view camera, supposedly why is it needed at all? At a minimum, in order to protect yourself and your property from unnecessary problems. After all, now you have 2 times more arguments! If quality and stable performance are important to you, then I recommend considering the MR250 NV for purchase, in our tests it showed itself on the good side.
