Steam Deck OS 3.4 update improves console user experience and fixes bugs with some games

Recently, the Steam OS operating system on which the Steam Deck runs received the latest version of the KDE Plasma desktop,

which brought a bunch of useful things to the console that were added in the February, June and October Plasma updates.

What is known

The most important functions for ordinaryuser experience is an updated gesture system that allows you to better interact with the device screen. Now, by sliding your fingers from the edge of the screen, you can open the desktop grid, the overview menu of running programs and the desktop itself (minimize all open windows). There is also a feature to synchronize the accent color of the desktop with the main color of the wallpaper. The function will work especially well with “Image of the day”.

Widget support is another nice feature.system tray, which will allow you, for example, to adjust the battery usage, or, which is definitely important for a mobile device, change the text size or add text next to the icons.

The update also corrected problems with a "small number of games" that began to work improperly after you woke the console from sleep mode.
