Students from Moscow State University won the largest programming tournament. Second time in a row

International Student Programming Olympiad ICPC - a tournament between the strongest students

universities around the world, which has been held annually since 1977. Participants in the competition must be no more than 24 years old, and the same person cannot participate in the Olympiad more than twice.

The team from Moscow State University for the first time in the history of the competition twice won them with the same composition. Its members included Mikhail Ipatov, Vladislav Makeev and Grigory Reznikov.

The second place was taken by the team from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the third and fourth place were taken by the teams from the University of Tokyo and the University of Warsaw, respectively.

In 2020 ICPC will be held in Moscow - the competition will be held by MIPT.

Earlier, an international team of scientists compared the quality of IT education in Russia, the USA, India and China. The leader in this sample were US universities.
