Students will launch into orbit their own scientific satellite to test the solar sail

Creation and launch of the satellite is handled by graduate students "Territorial Development Management on the basis of

Technologies and Data of Remote Sensing of the Earth "at the School of Digital Economy FEFU.

The launch of the Kubsat microsatellite will take place until the end2019 years. At the same time, the message does not indicate from which cosmodrome students are going to launch the satellite as a payload to the main load.

The satellite is planned to be placed on the rocket inas an associated payload, deliver it to a near-earth orbit and use it to conduct technological research: tests of solar sail elements, an onboard computer, and materials science experiments.
