Study: coronavirus spreads more often in places of worship

Researchers from Johns Hopkins University studied the number and mode of infections in a random sample of

over a thousand people in Maryland. One of the results of the study is that the likelihood of contracting the coronavirus was 16 times higher if patients attended places of worship. Scientists noted that the risk of infection among them was four times greater than among people who actively used public transport.

“Our results support the idea thatif you go out, you should practice social distancing as much as possible. This is one of the easiest ways to reduce your chances of getting infected, ”said Sunil Solomon, Associate Professor at the Department of Epidemiology at the Bloomberg School and Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
