The readiness to discuss the supply of tanks is reported byReuters news agency, citing Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonson. The number is not specified at this stage. The Swedish army has approximately 120 Stridsvagn 122 tanks, which are licensed German Leopard 2A5.
Stridsvagn 122 has a reinforced undercarriage andadditional armor modules. The tank received the GALAX system, which makes it possible to launch high-explosive and special ammunition. Engine power is 1500 horsepower (1100 kW). The tank is capable of speeds of 72 km/h on the highway and has a cruising range of 550 km.
