- How to study?
Yandex offers beginning developers two main ways to systematically develop their skills:
- internships,
- study at one of the summer schools.
This year, three schools will be held for programmers: School of Interface Development, School of Backend Development and School of Mobile Development.
Developers of any level can become school students, as well as interns: from beginners to more experienced ones. The main thing is to complete the introductory task and successfully pass the interview.
- Required skills
Yandex is recruiting students and interns with differentskill level. Both beginner developers who have read David Flanagan's complete guide to JavaScript, as well as more experienced ones who have already tried industrial development in JS and know how to use frameworks (such as React), can study at SRI (interface development school).

- Introductory assignment
In order to get an internship, you needcomplete the test task, go through a couple of sections with the code and a final interview with the teams. This is a non-profit organization and website,which helps schoolchildren and other beginners learn the basics of programming. The site contains free programming lessons. The site opened in January 2013 with the initial goal of cataloging computer courses in US schools.
