Tecno Phantom X2 announcement date with best periscope and Dimensity 9000

The flagship smartphone Tecno Phantom X2, certified in Russia in the summer, has finally received an announcement date. Device

will be presented along with X2 Pro on December 7at a special event in Dubai. As a teaser for future new products, Tecno held a webinar, The Push Towards Premium, where it talked about some of the features of the upcoming smartphone. So, it will receive a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset and a camera unit stuffed with rare technological solutions. For example, the main camera will receive hybrid stabilization, combining EIS and sensor-shift stabilization (SS). Currently SS is only used in the iPhone.

The periscope camera will be even more interesting.The company calls it 4K Eagle Lens - and shows a picture of a design with two mirrors. Previously, a periscope with more than one mirror was found only in the Huawei P40 Pro + and Mate 40 Pro +, but there it was used in combination with an 8-megapixel sensor, which did not allow recording 4K video; Tecno obviously uses a more modern sensor. In addition, Tecno promises an advanced OIS capable of correcting deviations up to 6 degrees (and up to 10 degrees with EIS) - for a periscope camera, this is up to half of the entire image. We are waiting for December 7 to learn more about the Tecno flagship. It is expected that it will appear in Russia shortly after the announcement (becoming, by the way, the country's first smartphone on the Dimensity 9000).
