Despite the lack of even an approximate release date, the fighting game Tekken 8 is constantly acquiring new details.

The developers have released many videos about the characters of the next part of the series, and now project director Katsuhiro Harada has revealed some of the technical nuances of Tekken 8.

What is known

Katsuhiro Harada tweeted thatTekken 8 players will have a cross-play option available, so users of different platforms will be able to freely conduct virtual duels with each other.

The producer mentioned that the introduction of crossplay was planned back in Tekken 7, but due to a number of reasons, the developers from Bandai Namco abandoned this idea.

In addition, Tekken 8 will also rollback the network code, with the help of which it is planned to reduce the response time of the game to pressing the control keys during online matches.

Tekken 8 will be available on PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
