Both agencies are said to be investigatingthe justification for the sharp increase in prices. And if the level of tariff changes does not match the growth of the consumer price index, then the mobile operator may face a full-fledged antitrust investigation.

The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia asked Tele2 for a justificationsharp price increases. If it turns out that the tariffs have changed unreasonably, the operator will receive an order to bring the tariffs back to the previous level. If, based on the results of the analysis, it is found that the level of tariff changes does not correspond to the growth of the consumer price index, the FAS will conduct an antimonopoly investigation.
