Telegram Cannot Release Emergency iOS Update Due To Violent Channels

Telegram founder Pavel Durov spoke about the reason why emergency updates are not released in the messenger

for iOS. It turned out that the problem was the distribution of channels with calls for violence.

Durov told about this to the subscribers of histhe official Telegram channel. He noted that in recent weeks, the messenger has already banned several channels that publish phone numbers, as well as addresses of people participating in rallies in Russia. Among other things, channels began to be created, publishing personal data of judges, prosecutors, law enforcement officers and journalists. The head of Telegram noted that in the main channel of this kind, people called for violence.

Durov recalled that such exploitation of Telegram differs from the rules of the messenger, limiting public calls for violence.
