The Berlin Gigafactory is now capable ofproduce 5,000 electric cars per week. This means that 250,000 vehicles can roll off the assembly line per year. Initially, Tesla intended to reach design volume by the end of 2022. The deviation from the schedule is due to a delay in the delivery of components.
Tesla wants to increase car production infour times. A corresponding request has already been submitted by an American company. But for this it is necessary to expand production capacity. The current approval allows Tesla to produce 500,000 vehicles per year in Germany.
