Tesla recalls 285,000 electric vehicles due to cruise control program

Nearly 300,000 Tesla Model 3s and Model Ys left the assembly line with cruise control issues. A bug was found in the machines,

released in China for the domestic market. The program can turn on at the most unexpected moment, sharply accelerating the car, according to the Chinese Ministry of Market Trade.

What should owners do?

The Chinese government calls this incident“product recall”, but owners of problem cars do not need to go anywhere: Tesla will install all the fixes at the software level. The program involves 249,855 Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles, as well as 35,665 imported Model 3s, and the origin of the imported cars is unknown.
