Tesla recalls 35 Semi electric trucks due to brake issues

About four months after the start of deliveries, Tesla is forced to recall several dozen

Semi trucks. The cause was a faulty brake module.

What is known

Tesla has released a statement to this effect.National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website. As it became known, the company Elon Musk (Elon Musk) is forced to recall 35 trucks.

In February 2023, Bendix, valve supplierelectronic parking brake, found a defect. Because of this, the vehicle in the parking lot may roll away. However, no such incident was recorded.

Tesla stated that the defective itemwill be replaced in 35 electric vehicles free of charge. All Semi trucks are currently owned by PepsiCo (and a subsidiary of Frito-Lay), so there shouldn't be any issues with the recall.

Tesla Semi was introduced in 2017, but deliveries only started a few months ago. To assemble electric trucks, the company launched a separate line at its plant in Nevada.
