Tesla starts clearing trees to expand plant in Berlin

Tesla plans to increase the production of electric vehicles by one and a half times over the next few years. For this

Tesla's current facility is located insuburbs of Berlin and covers an area of ​​90 hectares. By cutting down trees in a pine forest, which is located next to the plant, Elon Musk's company will receive an additional 70 hectares of territory.

Currently Tesla produces only 2000 in Germanyelectric vehicles per week. By the end of the first quarter of next year, the company plans to increase vehicle production volumes by 150%, i.e. up to 5000 units. Tesla's goal is to produce 500,000 electric cars annually, i.e. just under 10,000 pieces per week. In addition, after the expansion of the enterprise, the number of jobs will increase from 7,000 to 12,000.
