Tesla will help authorities investigate a crash involving a Tesla Model Y in Guangdong province in China. As a result

The accident happened on November 5, and the videospread on Chinese social media. The camera footage shows the Tesla Model Y attempting to park, then speeding down a two-lane road, darting between them at high speed. The car hits cars and motorcycles before eventually crashing into a storefront about 30 seconds and 2.6 kilometers after trying to park.

The surviving 55-year-old driver had problems with the brake pedal as he was about to stop in front of the family store, an unnamed relative of the Tesla owner said. It is reported by Jimu News.

However, Tesla, citing a transport magazinemeans, stated — the brake pedal was not pressed during the incident, but not the accelerator pedal. In addition, CCTV footage shows that the brake lights did not come on while the car was in motion.

The Guangdong Provincial Police will work with a third-party agency to evaluate vehicle logs and CCTV footage to find out the truth about the incident.
