In the new electric truck from Tesla, the driveroccupies a central position in the cockpit. The company believes that this provides a better view on the road and reduces the risk of accidents. Tesla promises that the truck can travel 805 km on a single charge and restores up to 70% of the battery in half an hour when connected to special Semi charging stations.
Tesla also highlights low costowning their electric trucks. According to the company, their refueling will cost 2.5 times cheaper than that of diesel counterparts. During the first three years, the owner will save up to $200,000 on fuel. At the same time, the truck itself will cost about $180,000.
In 2017, Pepsi reserved 100 firsttrucks to reduce emissions and transport costs. Musk previously promised that the delivery would be completed as early as 2019, but due to the semiconductor crisis, work has been repeatedly extended.
