Sophon Mekton, managing director of the Thai Red Cross Organ Donation Centre, condemned the photo.
Mekton warned people that organ trafficking is illegal in Thailand and denounced the circulating meme after it hit Thai social media.

The photo, which has already been deleted, is believed to have come from a Vietnamese beauty clinic located in Laos.
In Laos, the meme was reportedly mostly taken as a joke, but in Thailand, the photo appears to have been taken seriously.
