Thanks to Qualcomm: Honor, Motorola, Nothing, OPPO, Xiaomi and vivo smartphones will get satellite connectivity

Qualcomm, during a presentation at the MWC 2023 exhibition, told which smartphones will be the first to receive

support for Snapdragon Satellite satellite communication technology.

So, according to the manufacturer,Snapdragon Satellite support will appear in Honor, Motorola, Nothing, OPPO, Xiaomi and vivo smartphones. For now we are talking about premium devices based on the flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. There is no information when the first new product will be released.

Snapdragon Satellite is a Qualcomm technologywhich allows you to implement satellite communication support in your smartphone. It has pole-to-pole coverage and supports two-way messaging for use in emergency situations. In the future, they plan to install the technology in tandem with 5G modems in all lines of Snapdragon chips.
