This was reported by the Office of ProspectsUS Department of Defense Research Projects (DARPA). The tests took place at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. This is the first time a dedicated US Marine Corps (USMC) logistics truck has been used as a launcher.

Such a missile system is included in the programOperational Fires (OpFires). Its primary goal is to develop and demonstrate a two-stage ground-based propulsion system capable of powering hypersonic missiles that can overcome modern air defenses and accurately hit targets.
