The announcement of Honor 80 Pro with a flat screen is a firmware, but not quite

Recently, smartphone manufacturers have increasingly begun to abandon rounded waterfall screens in

the benefits of flat panels.Honor also decided to keep up with the trend, introducing the Honor 80 GT a couple of weeks ago, an analogue of the Honor 80 Pro with a flat screen and simplified cameras. True, today the company has released another, already the fifth model in the line, the full name of which sounds like Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition. True, the name is deceptive: the screen diagonal, the camera configuration, and even the absence of a pill-shaped cutout for the front cameras tell us that this is rather a modification of the Honor 80 GT. Or the basic Honor 80 with a stripped-down Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 instead of 782G and a firmware design.

The filling of the flat Honor 80 Pro implies160-megapixel main camera with 8-megapixel wide and 2-megapixel cap, 66-watt battery charger for 4800 mAh, a fingerprint scanner under the screen and NFC. Stereo sound, like fresh Android 13, is not offered by Honor, the first novelty in 2023. Sales in China have already started, and the device is available only in the 12/256 GB version for 3599 yuan (37,790 rubles). Three colors: black, green and pink.
