The authors of the submarine “from the future” revealed the critical depth of the ship

UAE startup HIghland Systems has unveiled a new submarine design that is actually more like

a futuristic spaceship than a ship. The model was called Kronos.

Submarines have significantly increased over the yearshave improved. However, their basic design and shape remain more or less standard. With the advent of new technologies, submarines have become more economical and less noticeable, like the new model from HIghland Systems.

The submarine is designed for ten passengers and onecrew member. The company says the ship features an innovative hull design that significantly reduces fuel consumption and increases top speed. The submarine can perform both commercial and rescue missions.

The model is equipped with a diesel generator,as well as an electric motor. Together they can provide up to 54 hours of operation. The submarine's wings can be folded to make transport on land easier. Its length is just under 9.25 m, width - 7.43 m and height - 2.09 m. The submarine weighs only 10,000 kg, and its carrying capacity is 3,000 kg on water.

A submarine with a diesel engine canreach a maximum speed of just under 80 km/h on water and 50 km/h under water. The operating depth of the submarine is 100 m, and the maximum critical depth is 250 m.

Electric motor on a submarinepower 1,200 hp can also be used to propel a ship. In battery-only mode, the ship remains operational for 36 hours, the same amount of time it maintains the air supply. After this, the battery must be charged for 1.5 hours.
