The best and worst PC hardware of 2020 announced

The profile publication TechSpot made a brief overview of the best and worst computer components of 2020. Products

divided into five categories: desktop processors, video cards, motherboards, laptop processors and monitors.

As for processors, the best TechSpotannounced the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X model. All representatives of the AMD Ryzen XT line were the worst. Their price did not justify the minor performance gains they provided over previous models.

Among video cards the best were... none of thosewhat you can buy. The fact is that the new NVIDIA models are too unavailable to be seriously included in the rating. The worst video card was named Radeon RX 6900 XT. It offers neither a competitive price nor top-end performance.

If we talk about motherboards, then they were recognized as the bestAMD B550 models. The worst was a particular Asrock Z490 motherboard. It can't even run the Core i9-10900K at stock speeds in the Blender stress test.

As for the CPU for laptops, AMD Ryzen 7 4800U was named the best here, and the Intel Core i7-10750H the worst. Among the monitors, the Asus ROG Swift PG259QN was praised and the Viotek GFI27QXA was scolded.
