We are talking about group audio calls. They were added to the beta version of Telegram 7.3 for Android devices. A similar feature for iOS will appear a little later.

How it works
Group calls work only in publicchats. All members or only administrators can activate the feature. It depends on your access settings. Group calls look like a conference. To start a conversation, you must first turn on the microphone. At the same time, other users will see your current status: “Talking” or “Listening”.

Unfortunately, there are still no group video calls in Telegram. They promise to add them a little later.
