The Boring Company Receives Permission To Create A Public Transportation System In Las Vegas

Clark County Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to approve plans for the company's Vegas Loop system.

The Boring Company.Thanks to this decision, Elon Musk's enterprise is one step closer to the day when it can begin laying 47 kilometers of tunnel. Once the project is completed, a network of 51 stations will connect various hotels and other locations between Allegiant Stadium and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Now the company just has to obtain the necessary permits before starting excavation work.

Boring President Steve Davis told LasVegas Review that the company will build the system in stages. Once she completes the individual station, it will open immediately. Boring hopes to build five to 10 stations during the first six months of the project, and then 15 to 20 stations each year thereafter. Goal – complete construction within three years.

The Boring Company makes ambitiousstatements about how effective the “Vegas Loop” after completion of construction. Davis said the network would carry approximately 57,000 passengers per hour. He also said it would be a point-to-point system, meaning passengers would not have to stop at every station on the way to their destination.

The funny thing about this news is that we are not talking about supersonic trains in vacuum tunnels at all, but simply about a system of underground tunnels for electric taxi-cars.
