The company received permission to build an underground transport system called the Loop
Company President Steve Davis announced thatconstruction of a tunnel in downtown Las Vegas could begin in 2023: “This is the second stage, and eight more stages before the opening. We have a long way to go and a lot of work.” Boring may add more stations in the future, each costing between $1.5 million and $20 million to build.
Davis also said that trips inside the tunnelwill cost about $12, and the journey will be 8-10 times faster than on the surface. Before the Boring monorail system can transport people to and from downtown Las Vegas, it needs to obtain several more permits and design approvals.
However, the city authorities expect that part of the site will be put into operation in 2023.
