The cheapest modern video card for desktop computers was tested in new games. This is NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030,
The test was conducted by the authors of the Gecid portal.They recalled that the GeForce GT 1030 was released in the spring of 2017, and even then it cost only $79. NVIDIA hasn't updated its ultra-budget graphics card since then, but the more affordable alternatives on the market are all much older - the GeForce 210 (2009), Radeon R5 230 (2014), GeForce GT 710 (2013) and Radeon R7 240 (2013) are weaker and much weaker already at the level of architecture and theoretical computing power.
For the test, experts took a model from MSI GeForce GT1030 with two GB of GDDR5 memory. The test bench used a Ryzen 5 3600 processor and 16 GB of RAM. The operating system and games are located on two SSDs: PATRIOT BURST 960 GB and NVMe CORSAIR MP600 2 TB.
