Georgetown University has released a report stating that chips designed and sold

These chips are said to have been usedby the Chinese army to develop advanced technologies, including for artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. The authors of the report reviewed 66,321 tenders published by the Chinese military. They concluded that the PRC army prefers to use US-designed chips rather than local products.

The researchers warn that the actual number of orders placed by the PLA could be significantly higher as many projects are classified.

It is noted that the US government actively monitors and imposes sanctions on organizations that, in its opinion, work with the Chinese military.
