The countries that most often buy Russian military equipment announced

RBC interviewed the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia

Dmitry Shugaev, within which he announced a list of countries that often buy military equipment from Russia.

So, China, India, the Middle East and North Africa region, as well as the countries of Latin America were in the top five foreign buyers of Russian military equipment.

According to Shugaev, each region has its ownspecificity. For example, sub-Saharan African countries often buy helicopters of the Mi family, Sukhoi and MiG aircraft, Pantsir-S1 and Tor-M2E air defense systems, and Buk. Of the weapons, these countries prefer the small Kalashnikov.

It is also reported that the countries of the Asia-Pacific region often acquire aircraft equipment and aircraft engines for them, as well as air defense weapons.
