The creators of Steam did not want to help Apple in the war with Epic Games

The conflict between Apple and Epic Games is not over yet. Recently, a company from Cupertino approached the creator of Steam

Valve with a request to obtain data that would help Apple in the war with Epic Games. Valve, however, did not cooperate.

It is reported that Apple wanted to get data from Valve on annual financial performance of Steam and other information. Valve didn't even own some of them.

Valve refused to provide this information. The company said the request was too broad and required the disclosure of confidential information. Valve also expressed doubt that Apple really needs all this data. This information could hardly be significant in the case against Epic Games. After all, the latter is not related to the digital distribution market for PCs. Let us remind you that Apple and Epic Games are in conflict over the removal of Fortnite from the App Store.

However, the final decision on disclosure will be made by the court.
